She began her career in Cape Town’s grassroots music scene under the name 'Ashcoustics' and relocated to Canada following her debut release, ‘No More’. She has performed at Toronto’s historic Horseshoe Tavern, held live residencies across the GTA and Durham Region, appeared at festivals, and continues to develop her career through the Canadian Musicians Co-Operative Emerging Artist Program.
Ashleigh-Marie is a Canadian/South African singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist making music for hearts that refuse to stay broken. Her sound is defined by powerful vocal performances and poetic lyricism, rooted in folk, country, and rock with a hint of pop flair.

Ash takes a cold, hard look at her own patterns and how they feed right back into her toxic relationships in a searingly candid new EP, No More – which hits home harder than most.
Now, Ashleigh-Marie leads weekly community-engaged street performances with Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre Busker Program while reintroducing her catalogue through a series of remastered releases under her new artist name, ahead of a new body of work arriving in early 2027. Inspired by saying goodbye to South Africa and building a new life in Canada, the project explores identity, loss, resilience, and belonging.
Writing from the wreckage and coming out swinging, Ashleigh-Marie steps into her next chapter with a story that is just beginning.
